The Orchestra and Chorus of the National Center for Performing Arts (NCPA) will present about 120 operas and concerts to celebrate the 70th National Day in 2019/2020 season.
The NCPA Orchestra and Chorus announced the opening of the new season earlier this week.
The highlight of the season will be performances under the theme of China, featuring several original Chinese operas adapted from novels and films about revolutionary times, according to a press release from the NCPA Orchestra and Chorus.
The NCPA Orchestra and Chorus will also join the Macao Orchestra to perform the Yellow River Cantata in Beijing and Macao for the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland.
There will be more than 30 symphony and chamber music concerts during the season.
