A total of 423 expectant mothers attended the 'largest prenatal yoga lesson' organized by the Shenzhen HOME Women's and Children's Hospital in Shenzhen City in southern China's Guangdong Province on November 30, 2013.

All the attendees are supporters of natural labor. Organizers of the event also invited doctors, nutritionists and experienced yoga teachers to answer the women's questions on the day.

Natural labor provides key mental and physical benefits for the mother and baby.

When not interfered with, natural labor helps to protect the fetal brain, prepare baby's lungs, and build baby's immune system. When uninterrupted, hormonal interplays provide imprinting and attachment between the mother and baby, protect the mother's moods, and initiate instinctual parenting behaviors.
