Families: Important Places of Fostering Core Socialist Values

We will implement resolutely the State policy of gender equality, and we will perform our duty of representing and protecting women's rights and interests. We will rely on the socialist law system, with Chinese characteristics, and we will seek better mechanisms to promote the implementation of the gender-equality policy and to secure women's rights. We will also work vigorously to raise gender awareness in legislation and policymaking, and we will pay close attention to women's requirements for improving their livelihoods. Women's federations, at all levels, will spare no effort as they serve as a strong link between the CPC and women, and as they serve as a warm home for women.

Families are important places of fostering core socialist values. Women play a key role in creating and disseminating traditional Chinese family virtues. Developing advanced family culture is a unique, and major, task of women's federations. We must provide practical services to families in scientific and creative ways that accord with the spirit of the times.
