CWU Holds Story Sharing Activity on National Day Celebration

To fully implement the important remarks of General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered at the series of celebration activities marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and to further inspire the teachers and students to love the Party and socialism, China Women's University (CWU) on October 31 held an activity of sharing the stories of participating in activities marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the PRC.

Li Mingshun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the CWU, Wang Jingxia and Wang Lian, vice-presidents of the CWU, Chang Hao, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the CWU, Ren Cuiru, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of the CWU, together with Party members of all teaching staff and students, attended the activity.

The story-sharing group was made up of eight students from different colleges and majors. Five of them participated in the militia woman parade passing through Tian'anmen Square and accepted the review of the Party and the country's top leaders on October 1, and three participated in the choir at the celebrations.

They shared their pain, joy and persistence in hard training, which greatly touched all teachers and students at the event.

In the coming week, the eight students, with the guidance of teachers, will go to the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region for a week-long lecture tour together with teachers and students from Minzu University of China.

Liu said that under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, it is necessary to mine the valuable spiritual wealth in the National Day activities.

The members of the story-sharing group and all teachers and students should study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches on National Day, and excavate the unique value and far-reaching significance of the celebration activities, Liu stated.

Liu urged that teachers and students should work hard to push forward the development of the university, which should use the educational function of the National Day celebration to advance education, research, inspection and implementation.

The university should educate students in every aspect of patriotism and it should expand the influence of the National Day celebrations to further inspire the teachers and students's love for the Party, country and socialism, she added.

The teachers and students attending the lecture were inspired by the story-sharing and vowed to work and study hard to contribute to the university.
