Chinese children are in need of better family-based financial education, according to a survey released on November 8 in Beijing.

The report on Chinese Family Financial Education was jointly carried out by the magazine Parenting Science in association with local group Sesame Workshop.

The survey collected 6,755 responses in total, and covered parental learning on wealth management, views on education in finance and other topics.

Researchers advised parents to learn financial knowledge systematically and cultivate their children's ability in using money wisely combined with other skills training.
