The main responsibilities of the Liaison Department include:

Organizing exchanges and cooperation between women and children's organizations from various countries as well as international women and children's organizations, and female personalities;

Taking part in conferences of the UN and bilateral and multilateral women and children's organizations;

Organizing delegations to travel abroad for exchanges and visits, and receiving foreign women's delegations; 

Developing international cooperation resources and projects to serve domestic women and children; and,

Learning about foreign women and children's conditions, and compiling materials for publicity and information on the international women's movement.
