Scenic spots along the way: The Shaolin Monastery, The Yellow River Scenic Area, The Prefecture of Kaifeng, The Ancient City of Shangqiu, Huang Cangyu and Yunlonghu Lake

Why it's good: The railway line runs through the two major national transport hubs in Xuzhou and Zhengzhou and completes the journey from Xi'an to Hangzhou in just six hours. In the same day, tourists can experience the unconstrained northern Shaanxi style, as well as the exquisite scenery south of the Yangtze River.

Hefei-Fuzhou High-Speed Railway (850km)

 

Scenic Spots along the way: Chaohu Lake, Huangshan Mountain, Wuyi Mountain and Sanqing Mountain

Why it's good: This is China's first high-speed railway to travel at 300km/h across the mountains, taking just 4.5 hours to go from Hefei to Fuzhou.

Jilin-Tumen-Hunchun High-Speed Railway (360km)

Why it's good: This is China's first high-speed rail link along the borders of Democratic People's Republic of Korea and Russia, and it passes over 10 scenic spots along the way. It is called "the most beautiful high-speed railway in northeast China".

Hainan Round Circle Railroad, also called 'Haikou-Sanya-Haikou Railway' (653km)

Why it's good: It is the only circular high-speed railroad in the world, showing passengers the beautiful scenery of Hainan Island.
