CWU Hosts PPT Slide Competition for Women's Sports

The Women's Education Professional Committee of the Chinese Women's Research Society (CWRS), Beijing Women's Sports Society for Higher Institutes (BWSS) and China Women's University (CWU) co-organized a PPT slide competition for women's sports on December 2.

Du Songpeng, president of BWSS, Liu Qixiao, deputy secretary of BWSS, Chen Weiqiang, a professor from Tsinghua University and CWU Vice-President Wang Lian participated in the event.

On behalf of the organizers, Wang warmly welcomed the leaders and experts and delivered an opening speech. She introduced the history and management characteristics of CWU and expressed her view that all members of society should be fully conscious of the importance of physical education for the all-round development of women.

Citing the current state of affairs of women's sports, Du emphasized the importance of women's participation in sports and introduced advanced teaching models and experiences. In addition, Du said that leaders and teachers should carry out research on women's sports, do more grounded studies to improve college students' health levels and keep learning and practicing so as to benefit women's groups in the future. 

Attendees also included directors and teachers from 18 universities across the country. Those participants exchanged opinions on the development of teachers, related scientific research and hot topics concerning women's sport at home and abroad. 

After intense competition, 2 teachers from CWU received first prize and another 3 competitors got second place. Organizers highly praised the participants and issued certificates for advanced units and individuals.
