CWU Delegates Attend ACWF's Poetry Reading

Teachers and students of China Women's University (CWU) participated in a poetry reading activity on June 29.

Themed "Staying True to the Party's Mission, Keeping Moving Forward", the event was organized by the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF). Song Xiuyan, vice-president and first member of the Secretariat of the ACWF; and Zhang Xiaolan, vice-president and member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, attended the activity.

During the meeting, Ge Lan, an 85-year-old former TV announcer in China, led the CWU delegation to recite Chairman Mao Zedong's poem Qinyuanchun Xue (Snow). They expressed their faith in the Communist Party of China (CPC) and improved their revolutionary consciousness by reciting red classics. The performance was a success and the reciters were greeted by enthusiastic applause.

The event was one of the ACWF's agendas to mark the 96th anniversary of the CPC. Since the School of Culture and Communication was informed about attending the event, teachers and students have trained hard rain or shine. They carried forward president Xi's remarks on Party building and were highly praised by the ACWF leaders.
