Liu Liqun, president of China Women's University (CWU), led a group of newly recruited teachers to visit Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong Province, where they attended a training course for social work tutors.

The event was sponsored by Shenzhen Pengxing Social Work Service, a practical base which has cooperated with CWU for many years.

The training course aimed to train teachers' professional skills in social work, cultivate qualified teachers in women's development and promote graduates' career development.

The delegation also visited social work organizations in Shenzhen and learned about their current situations and the market demands of social work talents.

Tutors got a basic understanding of the social work profession and set up the direction of social work talent cultivation. They hoped the university could carry out more activities according to social demands, establish more cross-disciplinary collaboration, cultivate more talents in the social work industry and make efforts to build a new brand with CWU characteristics.
