'Dialogue with CWU President' Activity Launches

On the occasion of the conclusion of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the 28th phase of the "Dialogue with President" activity was held as scheduled at China Women's University (CWU) on October 25.

Wang Lian, vice-president of CWU, attended the event.

Based on students' concerns about the influence of the 19th CPC National Congress Report on their future development, the vice-president put forward some constructive suggestions.

Wang pointed out that the construction of preschool education has been mentioned twice in the report of the 19th CPC National Congress, which is good news for CWU students of this major. She also exchanged with students about their most concerning issues, such as study and career development, as well as university construction and campus life.

She said that students should start from their own career orientation to solve problems such as studying abroad, deciding whether to continue with postgraduate education or finding a job straight after graduation.

For fewer interactions between students in different majors, Wang added that there will be more professional associations set up based on different departments, so students can join such organizations or associations to increase their inter-disciplinary exchanges.

Wang also promised to coordinate with relevant departments to solve problems related to dormitories and canteens.

At the end of the event, Wang expressed her appreciation for students' valuable suggestions on the construction and development of the CWU. She stressed that every CWU personnel should join the ranks of creating a good educational environment, building a healthy and warm campus, and strengthening the construction of university culture so as to provide a comfortable atmosphere for students to learn and grow in, which is also the meaning of launching the 'Dialogue with CWU President' activity.
