CCTV Releases Video on Family Education, Values

State broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV) recently produced a short film on the theme of "Inheriting Family Rules", corresponding to the latest spirit promoted at the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

President Xi Jinping have strongly emphasized the promotion of family education. He mentioned that much attention should be paid to the family, family values, and family education.

In the video, several households express their own understanding of "family values".

Jiao Shoufeng, the daughter of late official Jiao Yulu (1922-1964), who was named as an outstanding moral model for CPC members, said: "I never forget what my father told me. He said his honors do not belong to me and I must to work hard to make my own achievements."

Meanwhile, Lu Liqing, winner of the National Civilized Family title and an expert on Chinese folk crafts added, "I have no special talents except the old skills left by our ancestors. Now, all my family members are promoting the Craftsmanship Spirit."
The families all talked about their understandings on family, family education, and family values.

In the rest of the video, participants recall their positive encounters with Xi, and share other memories of "family values" in their daily life and work.
