The Jiangsu provincial women's federation, in east China, has paid tremendous attention to the promotion of fine family traditions and education and held many themed programs to help children grow up with positive outlooks and values for years to come.
The collection and representation of family traditions and rules from local model households have become appealing to the public, and inspired the general public, especially children, to observe and promote traditional Chinese family virtues in their daily life.
Jiangsu Women's Federation (JWF) has organized local parents to attend various parent-child activities along with their kids, and encouraged them to find problems in their own family education through various activities, including travel and reading camps.
For instance, the JWF invited local children and their peers from migrant families to jointly celebrate this year's International Children's Day, listen to the inspiring stories of scientists, watch documentaries featuring family traditions and rules, and visit exhibitions on the legislation of family education in a move to deepen their understanding of gratitude, the importance of sharing, and parents' responsibilities in family education.
Meanwhile, the JWF has organized a delegation of experts to conduct their research and survey of prominent problems facing local households in their family education and played a leading role in the inclusion of family education into the legislative plan of Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress.
The federation has also sponsored many events to deepen children's loyalty to the Party and guide them to follow good morals and ethics.
In addition, the JWF has opened its accounts on Chinese social media platforms WeChat and Sino Weibo and set up a mobile app in a drive to accelerate its presence on internet-based platforms and send the latest concepts on family education to millions of households.
