The CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core has regarded poverty alleviation as a top priority since the 18th CPC National Congress, according to officials.
Furthermore, women in the country have made full use of their unique role in tackling the issue of fighting poverty and have achieved significant achievements in the past several years.

Relevant departments have trained over 100,000 women who have taken the lead in e-commerce and helped over 15 million women increase their incomes. They have also formed a new service system called Internet Plus Female Entrepreneurship.
Among the 1,706 domestic service enterprises higher than county level, 980 are equipped with online information platforms which provide jobs for a total of 700,000 people every year.
Additionally, 998 housekeeping training demonstration bases above county level have been built, including 139 national level bases. Through these, some 600,000 women can receive training courses each year.
Up till now, over 1,300 hand knitting associations above county level have been set up with over 5,000 bases, creating new jobs for 10 million women.
Since the 18th CPC National Congress, the government has organized nearly 200,000 training courses and over 7 million rural women have benefited.
Moreover, ACWF and the women's federations at all levels have provided a total of 2.8 billion yuan to deliver over 160,000 agriculture-related training courses for 12 million rural women.
