Officials in southwest China’s Yunnan province recently founded the first women's federation for domestic services at a special training center in the local capital, Kunming.
The A Hui Domestic Services Center, located in the city's Panlong District, has been in operation since 2001. It provides practical training for women in the domestic services industry.
So far, the center has trained over 5,000 domestic workers. It currently has 377 full-time employees with many of them owning national professional qualification certificates.
The Center's director Bi Huixian was elected president of A Hui Domestic Service Work Field Women's Federation.
Bi has previously been awarded the titles of National March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetter, National Female Pioneer for Starting Business, and a Top 10 Re-employment Representative in Yunnan.
Luo Cunzhen and Bi Limei, among others, were elected as the members of the first executive committee of the work field women’s federation.
