China's Hebei Women's Federation (HWF) and Tangshan Women's Federation (TWF) held an exhibition on April 24 as part of Hebei Women's Entrepreneurship and Innovation Project.
Outstanding female entrepreneurs from north China's Hebei Province, Beijing and the neighboring city of Tianjin, participated in the gathering.
Some 13 cooperation projects were signed at the event, benefiting 26 corporations in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. Those companies invested almost 1.3 billion yuan in a wide range of areas including the internet, trade logistics, cultural creativity, educational training and public welfare assistance.
Among the nine projects featured at the event were the growing and marketing of edible fungi, the production of health drinks and traditional handmade clothing.
Six investment institutions and many specialists showed interests for the displayed projects, and promised to provide subsequent services in the fields of market development, technical support, innovation and operating management.
Besides, many specialists made comments and suggestions towards the management model and development strategy of the projects.
Wang Dongmei, vice president of HWF, said women's federations in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei have cooperated closely on women's affairs since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
"The exhibition has led the way to the new development of women in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region," said Wang.
