The Publicity Department of the Tianjin Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Tianjin Women's Federation (TWF), north China, jointly held a seminar on November 25 to mark 40 years of reform and opening up at Tianjin TV Station.
The event was also held to study and implement the spirit of the 12th National Women's Congress of China.
Audience members included more than 200 people from across the city; March 8th Red Banner Holders; representatives of the Looking for the Most Beautiful Families campaign; volunteers; role model female workers and outstanding student representatives of local universities.
Individual guests included: Zhao Hongfei, deputy director of the assembly test workshop of Tianjin Company of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation; Chen Zhonghong, president of the Ecoe (Tianjin) Group; and, Yang Baoling, Party secretary of Huzhangzhuang Village in Dongli District.
They each shared their personal experience to highlight women's power at the event.
In addition, women representatives such as Huo Yingying, president of the Yipoint Technology Co.; Gong Yanhong, senior technician of Dagang Oilfield; and, Wang Qian, coach of the municipal volleyball administration, shared their stories on the struggle and demonstrated that women are an important strength in promoting social development and progress.
Dai said President Xi Jinping expected women to realize their improvement in the great cause of the reform and development of the country.
She called for women from the general public to follow the example of advanced individuals, carry forward a great spirit, and jointly contribute to the future of women's causes and the country.
