Over 600 medical volunteers from around 200 medical institutions across the country attended a charity campaign in Wenchuan County, southwest China's Sichuan Province on May 2.
The event was held in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake which killed over 69,000 people.
As part of the campaign, medics are set to head to local hospitals in 12 villages and towns including Weizhou Town, Yanmen and Keku villages where they will offer medical assistance to those who were left injured by the deadly tremor and have since become impoverished due to their conditions.
The campaign is expected to run until May 7.
