The meeting, organized by the ACWF, the Women's Federation of Fujian Province and the Women's Federation of Xiamen Municipality, was designed to promote integrated development across the Straits and build the "first home" for female entrepreneurs from Taiwan in the Chinese mainland.

Nine representatives of female Taiwan compatriots and wives of Taiwan compatriots who lived in Fujian spoke about their work, business opportunities and personal lives in the province.
In addition, they voiced proposals of further participating in reform and opening-up and promoting social and economic growth in Fujian and the integrated development across the Straits.
Huang conveyed greetings to them on behalf of Shen Yueyue, Vice-Chairperson of the NPC Standing Committee and President of the ACWF, responded to their advices, and assured them that concrete measures would be implemented to address their concerns.
She stressed that the important policies made by General Secretary Xi Jinping to deepen the integrated development across the Straits were the common will of the compatriots across the Straits.
Women from both sides of the Straits should shoulder their responsibilities of national rejuvenation, promote patriotism and traditional Chinese culture, popularize the concept that people on both sides of the Straits are all of one family, and inject new impetus into the development and cooperation of both sides of the Straits, she said.
Huang continued that female Taiwan compatriots working and living in the Chinese mainland should make full use of their influence to mobilize more compatriots from Taiwan Province to visit and invest in the mainland, share the opportunities brought by the development of the mainland, and advance the peaceful development of the Straits.
Huang noted that the ACWF would play a role in assisting female Taiwan compatriots to study, live and start their businesses in the Chinese mainland, build platforms for women from both sides of the Straits to engage in integrated development across the Straits, and spare no effort in promoting the common growth of female compatriots from two sides and charting a good prospect of cross-Straits relations.
