A young mother from the city of Wuhan in central China's Hubei Province bought 10 packages of takeout food for local sanitation workers on January 25 on behalf of her newborn daughter.
The warm-hearted woman, who did not want to be identified, disclosed that her charity efforts aimed to convey her deep thanks to the staff for their hard work in cleaning snowfalls.
She said she also wanted to help her baby grow up with a heart of gratitude and celebrate the 100-day milestone after her daughter's birth.
The boss of the restaurant that made the meals said he was surprised to receive such an online order.
He did not believe it at first, so he made a quick call to confirm. He then organized 10 packages of takeout food, which included steamed dumplings and porridge. Two couriers made the deliveries.
The entire process was captured on camera and forwarded to the charity-minded mother afterward.
"Special thanks go to the woman concerned, since her action reminds us that many people still think about us in the snowy winter," said a sanitation worker after receiving his share of the free meals.
