Bao Pinhong, a medical teacher working in the Guangzhou First People's Hospital, South China's Guangdong Province, has devoted herself to medical teaching and management for over 30 years.
"Medical teachers, as well as the Research and Education Information Department and the Outpatient Department, are the assistants to doctors," Bao told the reporters, "the management personnel of research and education in the hospital are the bridge linking clinical training, academic research and teaching."
In the past 30 years, Bao has witnessed the hospital's development through its achievements in research and education.
"For me personally, I firmly believe that our hospital will go higher and further, and become the top comprehensive hospital in the city, in the province, or even in the whole country."
To pursue this goal, Bao participated in every subject review of her hospital.
Under her guidance, the hospital passed the evaluation of key clinical medicine subjects of Guangzhou, which led her hospital to become an outstanding hospital in hematology.
Bao became the fifth president of the Guangzhou Women Doctors' Association on April 2017. Though she has not been fully prepared for the position, she has done her best to deal with everything, which led the association to develop smoothly.
To call on more people to be volunteers, Bao communicated with many organizations and worked with the Women's Federation of Guangzhou. A Female Volunteer Service Base was set up in her hospital.
"Everyone should have a belief, and we must be unwavering. I'd like to interpret the doctor profession in another way," Bao concluded.
