Liu Shiwen and Chen Meng advanced into the women's singles final after winning their all-Chinese semifinals at the World Table Tennis Championships here on Friday.
Liu came from two sets down to beat Olympic champion and world No. 1 Ding Ning 6-11, 9-11, 11-5, 11-5, 11-0, 11-2, while Chen Meng routed Wang Manyu 11-5, 11-7, 11-5, 11-8.
"This might be my last world championships," said Liu. "I has been expecting to use all my potential."
Liu said she started to focus solely on the game when she was two sets down, explaining that "Ding Ning is a very difficult and strong player. After I lost the first two sets, I had to change my tactics. Otherwise, I would be doomed."
