Zheng Xiaoyun, a former rural migrant worker, founded an agricultural science company in Lujiang City, Anhui Province, in 2014 after her resignation.
She started to plant fruit trees and seek to expand her company's business.
With the help of local women's federation, Zheng overcame difficulties and the company made profits.
In 2016, rural tourism witnessed a boom in the village, with increasing people traveling there to take a holiday.
"I would like to extend my appreciation to the governments and the local women's federation. Without their support, I would never have made such achievements," Zheng said.
"It's time to pay them back by assisting in shaking off poverty," she added.
Now, a large number of local people have been employed by her company and are leading a moderately prosperous life, according to officials.
