A female train conductor has been committed to demonstrating the Chinese railway spirit, establishing service as an initiative, and treating passengers as friends over the past 21 years, and has won many awards as a result.

Chen Meifang works at Shanghai Railway Bureau as the train conductor of the K209 train traveling from Ningbo, east China's Zhejiang Province to Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong Province.

As China developed rapidly after the 18th National People's Congress, high-speed trains also became more common, which increased people's passion for tourism.

This development is mainly attributed to the concerted efforts of all the staff working in the railway industry.

Chen is a typical example.

Thanks to her strong sense of responsibility and love for her railway career, she has actively engaged in her work and appealed her staff to help passengers whenever they need it.

"Only when all staff on the train work together to provide a better service to passengers can we really become pacesetters in railway service," Chen claimed.

In order to mobilize the staff's initiative, she conducted several assessment activities aimed at selecting five pacesetters based on their performance.

Everyone would be awarded a different prize, including the safety enforcement award, civilization service award, environment and sanitation award, operation award and self-discipline award.

In order to provide better service, she created a service team named Chen Meifang Attentive Service Team, which has earned the outstanding service brand.

Several workers on her train have also become train conductors over the past few years.

Thanks to her hard work and contributions, she has won many awards, including Labor Model on the Train as well as Labor Model in Zhejiang Province, and she was elected as a 19th Coummunist Party of China National Congress deputy in 2018.
