Chinese female writer Yang Ying, whose pen name is Lin Tete released her new book, also her first children's picture book, You Are My Little Angel at PageOne Bookstore on Qianmen Street in Beijing, capital of China, on May 13.
At the event with the theme of "Love is a warm reincarnation," Yang not only shared her experiences in the transformation from writing novels to creating children's picture books, but also explained her own experiences and the issues she had faced in parent-child education with readers from a mother's perspective.
Yang, born in Hefei, east China's Anhui Province, graduated from the Institute of Qing History of Renmin University of China. She has released many famous best sellers, including Life Is A Journey. But according to Yang, You Are My Little Angel was the best work she has created this year.
This book is her first children picture's book and it aims to guide young readers though simple language and aesthetic pictures to give them a comprehensive understanding of the natural processes of people's lives, such as birth, death, hometowns and love.
Referring to her original intention when writing the book, Yang said: "I used to write inspirational books, which emphasized the growth of young people. I've always been very concerned about people's growth. So after giving birth to my child, I was much more concerned about my own child's growth and development. I wanted them to understand how they grow up."
Yang also revealed that, "Apart from focusing on children, I also wrote this book to conquer my inner fear. People are all afraid of death and being apart. I believe I am much stronger than before."
She also said: "This book is not only a new form of my later creations, it is a record that accompanies children along their lives, I hope we can study together to overcome our inner fears."
