PLA Doctors Awarded for Medical Contributions

Organizers staged the 5th Awards Ceremony for China Medical Women's Association (CMWA) Wuzhou Science and Technology Award on July 15 at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

Chen Yundai and Liang Ping from the Chinese People's Liberation Army General Hospital both received top honors at the event.

The ceremony was held to present the first lifetime awards for female health workers who have made significant contributions to medical innovation.

Chen, an expert in diagnosing complicated coronary heart disease, has made outstanding achievements in reducing the incidence rates of cardiovascular disorders, according to the judges.

She has also dedicated herself to developing and popularizing devices that allow the real-time monitoring of patients.

During her career, Liang discovered new methods microwave ablation to treat tumors in multiple organs, improving patients' after-surgery recovery.
