The Fourth Chinese-Russian Women's Culture Week

Chinese and Russian women gathered at the fourth Chinese-Russian Women's Culture Week from July 1 to 8 in Moscow.

President of the All-China Women's Federation Gu Xiulian headed a delegation of more than 80 Chinese women to attend the event, one of the 13 state-level activities celebrating the Year of China in Russia.

Gu, also vice-chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, or China's top legislature, met leaders of the Russian Federation Council, State Duma and the government, and also mayors of Moscow and St. Petersburg.

The culture week included a forum between Chinese and Russian women, the second of its kind, a joint performance by families of both countries and an exhibition of folk handicrafts.

At the forum, women of the two countries exchanged views on their family experiences, touching on topics of marriage, family education of the youth and life of the elder people.
