Hunan Women's Federation Holds Latest Executive Meeting
Hunan Women's Federation (HWF) holds the sixth session of its 12th executive committee on August 31 in Changsha. [hnwomen.org.cn]

 

Hunan Women's Federation (HWF) held the sixth session of its 12th executive committee on August 31 in Changsha City, in central China's Hunan Province, and elected 50 candidates for delegates to the 12th National Women's Congress of China (NWC).

The latest election featured a broad representation of local women. The newly elected candidates have been involved in education, industry, agriculture, commerce and trade, pharmacy, health services, science and technology.

Moreover, there are eight women of ethnic minorities and six females of Chinese democratic parties amongst the 50 candidates.

Speaking at the gathering, President of the HWF Jiang Xin urged them to strive for a better fulfillment of their responsibilities, make the voices and concerns of women heard, and accomplish all set objectives during the 12th NWC.
