S China City Opens Course for Vietnam's Female Officials

China-ASEAN (Vietnam) Women's Learning Exchange Course was opened at Guangxi Women's Cadre School in Nanning, capital city of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on December 14, 2015.

The event was attended by women's officials and representatives from across Vietnam, including Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Ha Giang, Dien Bien, and Lai Chau provinces which are on the border with China.

In recent years, women's federations at the district level in Guangxi have strengthened their learning and exchanges with counterparts from ASEAN countries, according to a spokesperson.

A course system, which is based on China-ASEAN economic and cultural exchange and cooperation and supplemented by discussions on prioritized areas for women's development, has been formed, and experts have been invited to give lectures at the event.

Later, organizers arranged visits to outstanding districts that had implemented work on women and children's rights, family civilization, and female entrepreneurship.

The event was well received by attendees from ASEAN countries.
