Wei praised the achievements of women's work during the last year. He pointed out that women's federations at all levels in the capital should study Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of 19th National Congress of the CPC.

Officials should push forward women's federation reform with more attention to the development of women's federations at grassroots levels, protecting women’s lawful rights and guiding them in starting their own businesses.

He also insisted that women's federations at all levels in Beijing should take priorities to study Xi's thinking and the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and regard them as their major political goal, making sure that the Party's innovative ideas will be put into action in 2018.

Officials should lead women to make further contributions, promoting the implementation of the basic State policy of gender equality.

Wei called on those present to push forward the development of women's federations at grassroots levels, providing better services to women in the new era by broadening officials' work channels on the internet.

When it comes to the Party's self-discipline, he said BWF should take Party's leadership as its fundamental principles; strengthen women's role in sticking to the Party's leadership; and, improve women's social influence by using innovative mass work ideas and methods.
