Fan said she will always pay attention to the work of the consortium, even in retirement.
The new members declared that they sincerely appreciated the consortium's trust and will keep in mind their responsibilities for women's development.
As a member of the council, Gai summarized the main accomplishments of HWVC, praised relevant universities and departments for their joint efforts, and thanked the council for taking on numerous responsibilities.

During the summary, Liu Liqun said that since its foundation, the consortium has been exploring, expanding and upgrading. Liu said that women's universities have become indispensable parts of China's higher education with their unique values and missions. Those universities should join efforts to promote the development of women's higher education, Liu added.
Participants at the meeting reached a consensus that the consortium should lead advanced gender culture and build itself into an international league within the framework of the Belt and Road initiative. It should also spread the stories of Chinese female students, women's higher education and CWUC to the outside world, Liu said.
Liu stressed that under the guidance of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the consortium should take the responsibility of promoting the development of women's higher education. She also expressed her hope that CWUC could play a role as a community of interests and a platform for cooperation, and that women's universities should take the overall situation into account and strive to improve the consortium's influence and realize the Chinese dream.
The consortium was jointly established by CWU, SWU and HWU. It aims to strengthen exchange and interaction between domestic women's universities, so that they can jointly study and explore patterns of women's university education; integrate and share outstanding education resources; supplement each other through cooperation; and, promote reform and development of women's academic education.
