The eighth China-France Seminar to Combat Domestic Violence was held via virtual meeting on November 25, 2022. The seminar's theme was "new progress of legislation and practice on the protection of women's rights." Lin Yi, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), delivered the opening remarks.

The seminar, an important part of the China-France High-level People-to-people Exchanges Mechanism, was hosted by the ACWF in collaboration with the French Embassy in China. More than 100 representatives from women's organizations, the judicial field and academia in China and France attended. Experts from both countries exchanged views on the protection of women's rights, the legal systems, judicial measures and regional practices to combat domestic violence.
