Wuhan Women's Federation Launches Story-Telling Campaign to Inspire More Women

The 2020 Women's Story-telling Campaign of Wuhan City was launched in Wuhan, capital city of Central China's Hubei Province, on June 22.  

Organized by the Wuhan Municipal Party Committee and Wuhan Women's Federation, the campaign publicizes the inspiring stories of female role models in the fight against the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), and the moving stories and major achievements in the battle against poverty, aiming to inspire and mobilize women to contribute to winning the battle against the epidemic, building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, achieving the goals of economic and social development, and making Wuhan a better city.  

At the launching ceremony, three women on the list of the female role models in the anti-COVID-19 battle in Wuhan, including Yu Cheng, a vocational school teacher and Hubei Provincial March 8th Red-banner Pacesetter, Hua Yuchen, a music teacher at a primary school, and Dai Shulan, director 
of the obstetrics department at a hospital, respectively shared their stories on the front line of the anti-epidemic battle.

The women's federations in Wuhan began this annual campaign four years ago, and more than 400 story-telling sessions have been held. Nearly 500,000 netizens have listened to women's stories online.

This year's campaign featured a total of 100 story-telling sessions online and offline. 

Women can also participate in the activity through the official Douyin account of the city's 
women's federation, sharing their own stories on the platform.

The launching ceremony was live broadcast via well-known livestreaming platforms, attracting more than 300,000 viewers.
