 July 29, 2020

Teachers and female students of Xiangyin (a county in Yueyang, a city in Central China's Hunan Province) Zhiyuan School, and leaders of Xiangyin People's Procuratorate, Xiangyin Women's Federation and the school, on June 5 gathered in the school. They attended the live online lecture, provided by the procuratorate's officials, to help girls improve their ability to protect their safety and their legal rights and interests.

Chen Yue, director of the procuratorate's office that handles cases involving juvenile crimes, taught the children how to identify the "private parts" of their bodies, how to identify sexual assault and avoid putting themselves in danger, and what to do if they are sexually assaulted.

Xiangyin People's Procuratorate, Xiangyin Women's Federation and other organizations in April initiated a campaign to provide 100 online lectures to female primary and middle school students, to help them increase their legal knowledge, so the girls can better protect their legal rights and interests. The above-mentioned lecture is the second of the 100 online lectures. So far, more than 200,000 people have viewed the lectures. The lectures have been well received by the viewers.
