Yang Lan, a lawyer with Giant Law Office (in Anshun, a city in Southwest China's Guizhou Province) and a member of Guizhou Women Lawyers' Law Promotion Group, recently made a special trip to Daba (a village in Anshun) to provide a lecture to the villagers, to help them better understand the Civil Code of the People's Republic of China. Yang explained how the villagers can protect their land-related rights, especially during confirmation of their land ownership.

The group during the past several months has organized its members to provide lectures to nearly 10,000 residents, including employees with enterprises and institutions, and middle school and university students . The members have also encouraged the residents to respect, study, observe and use the law (to protect their legal rights and interests).
