Hohhot Women's Federation on March 2 (six days before International Women's Day) hosted a meeting, during which more than 30 women (from various segments of society) — including March 8th Red-banner Holders, women volunteers, and representatives of women entrepreneurs and the "Most Beautiful Families in Hohhot (capital of North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region)" — shared their experiences in developing their careers. The women also talked about their plans for future career development. The federation called on the women to rally closely around the CPC (Communist Party of China) Central Committee, and to contribute to the promotion of China's social and economic development.

"Welcome 'home,' dear sisters. I hope you will share your personal thoughts with us, so we can learn about your needs and wishes. I also hope you will often return 'home' to visit us, and offer suggestions on how to help us improve our work," said Yun Yumei, President of the federation, when the meeting started. Then, many women told their stories, as they talked about their needs and wishes, and offered suggestions on how to improve the federation's work.
