To improve the quality of laws relating to family education in Northwest China's Gansu Province, the Gansu Women's Federation and Lanzhou University Law School recently conducted research in Lanzhou, Zhangye, Tianshui, Pingliang, Qingyang, Longnan (all cities in Gansu) and Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.

The organizations joined forces and sent a team to study the development of family education in various regions of Gansu, and to collect suggestions on the draft Gansu Family Education Promotion Regulation through visits, meetings, document research and online questionnaires.

Representatives — of people's congresses, committees of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and education, civil affairs and public security departments — and family education experts, teachers, parents and grassroots cadres offered advice, based on their work experiences, about the structure, expressions and design of the draft regulation. Based on the results of their research, members of the group will help improve the draft regulation, which will serve as legal support during family education promotion work.
