The women's federation of Rare Earth High-Tech Zone, in Baotou, a city in North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and the court of the high-tech zone recently held an event to hire and train mediators of the zone's marriage-dispute-mediation and litigation office. The office became Baotou's first platform to involve various departments and social forces to solve marriage and family disputes.

The women's federation and the court signed an agreement on conducting marriage-dispute-mediation and litigation work, and they issued rules for the office's management.

The office hired 54 people, who have professional knowledge in social work, the law, psychology, education and/or marriage and family affairs, to be among the first group of specially invited mediators.
