Forty "typical cases," which have good effects in the protection of women and children's rights and interests, are released by five departments or organizations in Northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. [For Women of China]

Forty "typical cases," which had good effects in the protection of women and children's rights and interests, were released recently by five departments or organizations in Northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The cases involved domestic violence, betrothal gifts, guarding children, child molestation, employment and various other issues. The procedures of handling the cases were typical, and various departments had good cooperation in handling the cases.

Every three years, Ningxia Women's Federation, the autonomous region's higher people's court, the people's procuratorate, the region's trade union and Ningxia Lawyers' Association collect the cases that involve the protection of women and children's rights and interests. This year, they collected 122 cases, which reflected hot issues related to women and children's rights protection, and they selected 40 of those cases as examples for dealing with similar cases.

The cases reflected the firm resolution of law enforcement authorities, people's organizations and social organizations to protect women and children's lawful rights and interests.
