NANCHANG, May 30 (Xinhua) — The chorus of Dongcun Central School was founded in 2017 in Fenyi County, east China's Jiangxi Province. It now consists of 52 members. Most of the students in the chorus are left-behind children who remain in rural regions while their parents leave to make a living in urban areas.

In the past 5 years, they have learned the way to sing under the guidance of music teacher Zhong Lingshan and volunteers from Xinyu University. Students used to be shy and seldom expressed their feelings, but music brings joy and hope to their life. They have become more confident and willing to tell how they feel by singing.
