Hainan Women's Federation and two government departments have organized several activities, since last September, to publicize information on water-resource management, including the concept of water conservation, in villages and communities in South China's Hainan Province.
Various parent-child activities, themed "cherishing water, protecting water and saving water," have been held across Hainan, to publicize both the concept of water conservation and information about the province's comprehensive water-resource management.
"Water is particularly valuable. Dad and mom often teach me to save water. In my home, my grandma uses the water used to wash rice to water flowers," said one child, during a parent-child painting activity.
During past years, the province's women's federation has integrated comprehensive water-resource management into its work to advance family ties, values and traditions.
More efforts will be made by women's federations, at all levels in Hainan, to publicize information on water conservation and water-resource management, and to motivate everyone to cherish, protect and save water.
