Twelve venues were selected by ACWF to be designated national women's patriotic education bases in March 2024.
To date, 105 venues nationwide have been named national women's patriotic education bases, indicates a news release on ACWF's online media account, Women Voice.
Some of the newly designated venues depict how Chinese women bravely supported soldiers, fighting on the frontline, during the revolution. Some depict how Chinese women have strived, and continue to tenaciously strive, to succeed in their fields. Still others depict how Chinese women have been upholding the importance of family virtues of the Chinese nation, for generations.
In recent years, ACWF has collaborated with the National Cultural Heritage Administration and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to organize exhibitions at and tours of the national women's patriotic education bases.
In addition, ACWF has guided women's federations, at all levels, in launching various innovative and commemorative activities, themed exhibitions, and educational events at those bases, to inspire women, children, and their families to love the Party, the country, and socialism.
This year's nominations for national women's patriotic education bases included a memorial hall, for renowned woman Red Army soldier He Zizhen, in Yongxin, a county in Jiangxi Province.
"My colleagues and I are greatly encouraged; we will conduct more in-depth studies on the revolutionary history, and we will help inspire more women, and their families, to remember our red history, and to better inherit the 'red genes' rooted in our blood," says Xiao Hui, a woman docent who works at the venue.
