Beijing Women's Federation (BWF) held a special meeting on December 20, 2024, to mark the establishment of its working committee on women in social organizations, which will also serve as the BWF's home for social organizations. 

It marked a major step by BWF in its efforts to ensure women's federations are established in new types of economic and social organizations, and among groups in new forms of employment, throughout Beijing. 

The establishment also charted a new chapter for women's work in the above-mentioned groups and social organizations. The logo for the BWF's home for social organizations was unveiled during the meeting. 

Du Chunxiao, BWF Vice-President, extended congratulations to BWF for the establishment of its working committee on women in social organizations. She also outlined requirements for the working committee's work. 

Du stressed the working committee should strengthen guidance, work with initiative, enhance its capacity building, and unite and guide women (in social organizations) in shouldering their responsibilities, and in holding up "half the sky" in the development of social organizations.
