Li Qijun, 75, is a retired employee of the Chengdu Railway Bureau. A sudden illness in high school made her miss the opportunity to apply for university. However, she has never given up on her dream as she has loved literature since childhood.
With the support of her family, she signed up for the self-study undergraduate courses in Chinese Language and Literature in 2015. Li has now passed nine courses in the undergraduate exam with three more to go.
At present, Li is preparing for the exam at home. She said, "Life is constant, and learning is just like that. I will keep trying next year if I fail this time."
