To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Russia Friendship Committee for Peace and Development (CRFCPD), a children's concert entitled "Song of Friendship" was held in China National Children's Center (CNCC), in Beijing, on September 24, 2022. Lin Yi, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), and President of the Chinese side of CRFCPD's Women's Council, and Kasyanova Tamara Leonidovna, Counselor of the Russian Embassy in China and Director of the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing, delivered speeches.
Lin congratulated CRFCPD on celebrating its 25th anniversary. She said under the strategic leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, China-Russia relations have maintained vigorous development, cooperation in various fields has been enriched, and a paradigm of a new type of relations between great nations has been set up for the international community. Women and children's exchanges have added a bright color to the advancement of the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era. Lin hoped children from both countries will continue practicing, advocating and promoting the China-Russia friendship, which has been passed from generation to generation. She also hoped children will help protect the "tree of friendship" between China and Russia, ensuring it continues to grow vigorously in the future.
Kasyanova spoke of the development of Russia-China relations and CRFCPD's contributions to advancements in the two countries' friendship. She hoped children from both countries will continue the cooperation and help advance prosperity and people's friendship between Russia and China.
The concert was hosted by the ACWF and the Russian Embassy in China and organized by CNCC and the Russian Embassy. Children from both countries gave wonderful performances. The head of the secretariat of CRFCPD's Chinese side, representatives from relevant fields and children attended.
