Senior Officials Share Views on Building Healthy China
The sub-forum on the Belt and Road Initiative and the Health Industry Development was held in Boao of South China's Hainan Province on April 10 during the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2018.
Speakers included Zeng Yixin, the Vice Minister of the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China (NHC).
He said "Implementing the Healthy China Strategy is the inevitable requirement of the new era."
The NHC will implement its health policy and provide all-round health services for the people in the new era.
As an important field for cooperation in the BRI, the development of the health industry is one of the most important tasks for building a healthy China.
The government will delegate more power to lower-level governments and strongly support health services provided by social forces.
"With the implementation of all-round opening up policy, the BRI health cooperation will be improved and the Health Silk Road is expected to see fruitful results, bringing about development opportunities for both China and other countries along the routes," he added.
Other participants at the event also included Hainan Governor Shen Xiaoming, and Vice Executive Director of the Silk-Road Planning Research Center Li Xiaolin.
