Xiuying District in Haikou Sponsors Anti-drug Educational Event into Campus

Local students sign their names in a pledge saying "no" to the use of illicit drugs during an educational event held at the Changde Elementary School in Xiuying District of Haikou, capital city of south China's Hainan Province, on the afternoon of June 24. [Xiuying District Women's Federation]

An educational event to further raise the awareness of local students about the dangers of drug addiction, help them become vigilant to the illicit use of drugs, and maintain a healthy daily lifestyle was co-sponsored by the Xiuying District Narcotics Control Commission, the Xiuying District Youth League Committee, the Xiuying District Women's Federation and the Xiuying District Department of Education at the Changde Elementary School in Xiuying District of Haikou, capital city of south China's Hainan Province, on the afternoon of June 24.

During the event, local students were organized to read posters in connection with anti-drugs publications and sign their names in a pledge saying "no" to the use of illicit drugs in their personal lives.

The past several months have seen multiple forms of educational activities, including the selection of outstanding writing and an exhibition of caricatures related to the dangers of illicit use of drugs, a quiz on anti-drug knowledge and educational events into campus, held by local women's federations under the support of other governmental bodies across local elementary and secondary schools to publish the dangers of drug addiction, engage students into the war on illicit drugs and jointly safeguard social stability.
