Pingxiang, a city in East China's Jiangxi Province, is a "red land," with glorious revolutionary traditions. For example, Anyuan District is the cradle of the Chinese workers' movement. The district is also an origin of the Autumn Harvest Uprising, launched in 1927 by the Communist Party of China (CPC) in the Hunan-Jiangxi border area. Members of the China Association of Women Photographers, from around the country, were recently invited to visit Pingxiang. They used their cameras to record the city's rapid economic development, its beautiful scenery, the traditional Nuo culture, and the happy lives of the locals. Women of China highlights some of the photographs, to share the beautiful moments with our readers.
