Chinese President Appoints New Ambassadors

BEIJING, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) — Chinese President Xi Jinping has appointed six new ambassadors in accordance with a decision by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, according to a statement from China's top legislature on Thursday.

Li Jinjin has been appointed ambassador to Gabon, replacing Hu Changchun.

Liu Jin has been appointed ambassador to Gambia, replacing Ma Jianchun.

Long Zhou has been appointed ambassador to Malawi, replacing Liu Hongyang.

Hua Ning has been appointed ambassador to Luxembourg, replacing Yang Xiaorong.

Li Minggang has been appointed ambassador to Vanuatu, replacing Zhou Haicheng.

Song Yang has been appointed ambassador to Peru, replacing Liang Yu.
