Shen Yiqin is elected president of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) by secret ballot at the first meeting of the 13th Executive Committee of the ACWF in Beijing, capital of China, Oct. 25, 2023. BEIJING, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) — Shen Yiqin was elected president of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) on Wednesday afternoon by secret ballot at the first meeting of the 13th Executive Committee of the ACWF.
The meeting also elected 14 people as the federation's vice presidents and 40 as standing committee members.
In the morning, a total of 297 members of the executive committee were elected at a plenary meeting of China's 13th National Women's Congress.
The plenum was attended by Shen Yiqin and former ACWF President Shen Yueyue and presided over by Huang Xiaowei, all of whom are executive chairpersons of the presidium of the congress.
